China: “Xi’an residents must stay at home” – Lockdown


Lockdown imposed by Chinese authorities today imposed on the northern Chinese city of Xi’an, which has a population of 13 million, due to a jump in Covid-19 cases.

The people of Xi’an must “to stay in their homes unless there is an urgent needTo leave, the local authorities said in a statement, explaining that one person in each household allowed to go out shopping “Every two days”.

To prevent any spread of the virus, residents will have to stay at home from tomorrow, Thursday, at midnight (18:00 on Wednesday, Greek time), local authorities announced.

At the same time, all “non-essential” companies, with the exception of supermarkets and medical institutions, were ordered to close.
