At least four people lost their lives when the sailing boat they were aboard ran aground in the sea area north of Antikythera, on the rocky islet of Prasonisi.
According to information from the Coast Guard, one of the passengers called 112 on Thursday afternoon and informed about their position, stating that about 100 people are on board. An offshore ship of the Greek Navy rushed to the spot and found about 90 people on the rocky islet.
Four bodies have been found while the search for the missing continues.
The Coast Guard’s offshore ship, two Coast Guard vessels and a Navy helicopter are involved in the search and rescue operation.
