Russia: Use of Mir-19 anti-coronavirus approved for 18-65 year olds


The Russian drug MIR-19 against coronavirus, which was registered for use yesterday by the Russian Ministry of Health, is indicated for people aged 18 to 65, is administered by inhalation twice a day, while the duration of treatment lasts 14 days.

“The drug is administered by inhalation, using an inhaler (nebulizer). The drug is prescribed in a hospital setting. The drug should be taken twice a day. There should be a break of 7-8 hours between inhalations. <...> The duration of treatment is 14 days (28 inhalations) “, the instructions state.

Mir-19 was developed by the Federal Office of Medicine and Biology (FMBA) and is intended for the prevention or treatment of coronavirus infection by inhalation or intranasal administration. The FMBA claims to stop the virus from multiplying and prevent the most serious forms of coronavirus infection, as well as pneumonitis and acute respiratory distress syndromes in their background.
