Fourth dose of coronavirus vaccine to be given to Chileans in February
Chile celebrates first anniversary of Covid-19 vaccination campaign with Chilean president Sebastian Pinera stated: “The main concern and priority is the protection of the life and health of our compatriots“.
The fourth dose of the vaccine is to be given initially to people belonging to high risk categories, ie to health workers, the elderly and those suffering from chronic diseases. Their vaccination will follow others citizens.
The Minister of Health Enrique Paris justified this decision by stating that “Local studies show that there is a reduction in the rate of “antibodies” that fight the virus six months after the last dose“.
