Russia protests Ukrainian authorities over Molotov cocktail attack on Ukrainian consulate


The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced today Friday that Someone threw a Molotov cocktail at the Russian consulate in the Ukrainian city of Lviv and that he had formally protested the attack, which he described as a “terrorist act.”

The Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement that “The terrorist act” against the Russian consulate in Lvov (s.s. as the Russians call the city) was a consequence of incitement to hatred and hostility to Russia in Ukraine. The same statement said that the Russian embassy in Kiev issued a note of protest to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, demanding the strengthening of security measures at the consulate in Lvov.

Its Ministry of Foreign Affairs Russia called a Ukrainian official and apologized to the Ukrainian authorities.

Ukrainian police in Lviv say they have launched an investigation into the incident. which he described as “hooliganism”.
