Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew with mild symptoms


Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew was diagnosed positive for the coronavirus, in the context of regular diagnostic tests performed in Fanari.

According to the announcement issued yesterday by the Ecumenical Patriarchate, His Holiness, who is fully vaccinated, shows mild symptoms while his general condition is good.

Immediately after the diagnosis he visited the central hospital of the city for further preventive examinations.

The Ecumenical Patriarch thanked all those who express their interest in his state of health and urged, once again, all to follow the recommendations of doctors and specialists, as well as those who have not yet been vaccinated to do for the good of themselves and of society as a whole.

On this occasion he wished everyone a Merry and Blessed Christmas.

Erdogan’s best wishes to Ecumenical Patriarch for speedy recovery

The President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdo .an, conveyed to Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew wishes for a speedy recovery, through the Minister of Health, Dr. Fahrettin Koca, in a telephone conversation that evening. Mr. Kotza conveyed to His Holiness, who remains under observation in a central hospital of the city, the interest of the President and himself personally for the course of his health and assured him that the authorities of the country are on his side for whatever is needed. .

According to the announcement, the Ecumenical Patriarch was contacted earlier by the Minister of Culture and Tourism of Turkey, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, who expressed his heartfelt wishes for a speedy recovery of his health.
