Coronavirus outbreaks rise in US – 60% of vaccinated rates ‘not enough’

Although the United States was on track to exceed the 200 million dose of COVID-19 vaccine, the outbreak of the new coronavirus is rising and has reached a very high level, PBS reported.

Cases of SARS-CoV-2 in the US “increased from an average of almost 95,000 per day on November 22 to almost 119,000 per day this week”, while admissions of patients with COVID-19 have increased by 25% this month compared to the previous one, according to the same source.

The fact that about 60% of the US population has been fully vaccinated “is not enough to prevent outbreaks.”

The United States, which is approaching the tragic milestone of 800,000 deaths – had recorded 794,498 as of Thursday – after the new coronavirus pandemic broke out in its territory, is the country that has suffered by far the heaviest impact from the global health crisis.
