Italy: Increasing Transmissibility Index Nationwide – Record 1.4 Million Green Pass Downloads

The Italian media broadcast that the first data of the Higher Institute of Health and the so-called Pension Room of the Ministry of Health focus on two elements: the transmission index (Rt) at 1.18, ie slightly reduced compared to the previous week (at 1.20) , and the trend of positive coronavirus cases across the country, reaching 176 per 100,000 inhabitants, compared to 155.

Apart from the Molise district, admissions to hospitals and ICUs are also increasing everywhere, which have fullness limits for changing the color of the area to 15% and 10% respectively.

Between regions and autonomous provinces, 20 are classified as ‘moderate risk’, while the following regions have high occupancy rates: Calabria (11.8%), Friuli Venezia Giulia (14.3%), Veneto ( 12.4%), Liguria (12.4%), Marche (14.8%), the Autonomous Provinces of Bolzano (18%) and Trento (16.7%). For this reason, a decision may be made today for the regions, but mainly for Calabria.

In this context, yesterday’s new record of Green Pass downloads is noted, which according to the Government platform amounted to 1,478,493. A total of 148,424,672 Green Passes have been issued in Italy so far.
