THE UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has today appointed Catherine M. Russell, a close ally of President Joe Biden, The director of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), said the representative of the Organization Stefan Duzaric.
Russell ito succeed her compatriot Enrietta For which resigned in July.
Kathryn M. Russell, 60, has been Biden’s adviser and director of the White House’s staff.

Russell in the past had worked at the State Department and at the Department of Justice. He was again in charge of the White House during the presidency of Barack Obama.
