For the first time, OTE was rated “A-” by the international non-profit organization CDP (formerly Carbon Disclosure Project) for the way it publishes and manages the effects of its activities on climate change.
For 2021, OTE is in the category “Leadership A / A-” among 12,000 companies that were evaluated and is one of the two companies in Greece that are included in this category.
“This year’s ranking places OTE much higher than the European average but also that of the media, telecommunications and data center services sector, in which it is included,” the Group said in a statement.
He continues: “OTE received the highest score for the certified monitoring of greenhouse gas emissions throughout its value chain, for their reduction actions but also for the general governance of issues to deal with climate change.
This rating is a result of the long-term commitment, but also of the consistent environmental strategy of the OTE Group for climate change, which is at the core of the Group’s sustainable development strategy “.
The CDP is an international non-profit organization that manages a global information and evaluation system on the impact on companies, cities, states and regions of the effects on climate, forests and water security.
OTE has been participating in the CDP since 2010. It also responds to analyst ratings and participates in a number of international and national indicators of sustainable development, such as: FTSE4 Good, VIGEO-EIRIS Best Emerging Performers by Moody’s ESG Solutions, ATEEX ESG index, “Prime” Corporate ESG Performance by ISS-ESG, MSCI ESG Research and the Bloomberg LP Gender-Equality Index (GEI).
