Johnson communicates with Erdogan – What the two leaders discussed


THE British Prime Minister Boris Johnson talked to him on the phone President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Their telephone conversation, according to the Downing Street representative:

“The Prime Minister spoke with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan this afternoon.

“It simply came to our notice then Significant Concerns Over Accumulation of Russian Troops on Ukrainian Borders and stressed his collective determination NATO to avoid further escalation. They pledged to continue working through NATO to reach a solution.

“The leaders agreed also to further strengthen our bilateral cooperation in security and defense issues and strengthen the trade and investments between the United Kingdom and Turkey.

“They welcomed the positive result in COP26 Summit and the Prime Minister looks forward to working closely with President Erdogan to promote further progress in climate change, including an ambitious goal emissions reduction from Turkey».
