Tunisia: Parliamentary elections and referendum on constitutional reform

THE chairman of Tunisia Ms. Sayed announced tonight holding a referendum and parliamentary elections next year so that “the people can express their will”.

The parliament, whose operation was suspended in the summer by decision of the president, will remain suspended until the new parliamentary elections, on December 17, 2022.

According to Sayed’s sermon, a public consultation will be organized from January, which will be held online, “to express the will of the people”. A referendum on constitutional reform will follow on July 25, 2022.
