At least one dead and several injured as train derailed near Vienna


A train that derailed near the Austrian capital Vienna has killed at least one person. The Austrian press agency reports that PAA Monday, according to a spokesperson for the Austrian Red Cross. In addition, several people were injured.

According to the railway company ÖBB, the train accident occurred shortly after 6 p.m. near the city of Münchendorf, a few kilometers from the capital Vienna.

At least one person was killed. Two people were seriously injured and 11 other people slightly injured.

A large number of rescuers were mobilized to help on the spot. In addition to Austrian Red Cross employees, four trauma helicopters also arrived on the scene.
