Former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey is trying to quell rumors of his re-election as CEO now that billionaire Elon Musk is taking over the platform. He will “never again” hold this position, he wrote on Twitter.
Dorsey resigned as director of Twitter in November. He was replaced by Parag Agrawal, who previously served as the platform’s technology manager.
Besides being a director, Dorsey was also one of the founders of Twitter. He is considered one of the most influential people when it comes to the role of social media in the world.
When news broke recently that billionaire Musk had purchased the platform, Dorsey was thrilled. He called Musk “the only solution” for the company’s future. Dorsey has reportedly disagreed with the direction the rig is moving in for some time.
It’s been suggested that a Dorsey comeback might be possible after Musk’s acquisition, but he says that’s not true. If Twitter gets a new director, Dorsey says he’ll “roll a dice” to determine who it will be.
