Schiphol expects busy May holidays to continue for the time being

Schiphol expects comparable passenger numbers towards the summer holidays as during the May holidays, when 2.6 million people traveled to and from the airport. Schiphol therefore calls on travelers to be well prepared.

Passenger numbers are still at a lower level than before the corona crisis, but at peak times the crowds were comparable to 2019.

In April, for example, 4.4 million people traveled via Schiphol. In the same month last year, there were nearly 800,000 passengers and in 2020 there were over 100,000 passengers.

During the May holidays, 2.6 million passengers traveled from, to or via Schiphol. Last year there were around 500,000 and in 2020 around 90,000. In 2019, 3.3 million people passed through the airport.
