Ukraine calls on the G7 countries to seize all Russian financial assets and hand them over to Kyiv so the money can be used for building the country.
“Canada has already done this and I have a feeling that other countries will reach this point sooner rather than later. We are talking about hundreds of billions of dollars. Russia must pay,” said Ukraine’s foreign minister , Dmytro Kuleba.
He added that he hoped Hungary would still accept European plans for a total boycott of Russian oil.
Negotiations over a planned European ban on Russian oil imports broke down earlier this week, with Hungary demanding that guarantees be provided first for supplies from other countries.
