The multinational Trojan Footprint Special Operations Force exercise has been completed


THE multinational exercise of special operations forces «Trojan Footprint – 22 “was held from 2 to 13 May, with the participation of officers and non-commissioned officers of the Special Warfare Command (DEP) of the General Staff of National Defense (GEETHA) and special operations forces from Albania, France, the United Kingdom, the USA and Italy in the region of Attica and Boeotia.

As announced by GEETHA, during the exercise, a regular land administration of special operations was formed and exercised under Greek administration, which undertook, designed and carried out missions of increased complexity and difficulty in conditions that resemble the real ones.

At the same time, he exercised command and control in groups of special operations of the Republic of Northern Macedonia, which were exercised in their country in the context of the exercise.

“Trojan Footprint – 22” also involved personnel and flying vehicles of the Army Air Force and the Air Force.

The purpose of the exercise, the statement added, was to train units to deal with a variety of threats, co-operate with conventional forces and improve interoperability at an allied level, to increase readiness, combat capability and the level of co-operation and understanding of participants.

The exercise was organized by the US Special Operations Command in Europe and was conducted in parallel in 15 countries, with the participation of a total of approximately 3,300 officers, non-commissioned officers and hoplites from 30 countries.
