THE TITAN Group was recognized by CDP, formerly Carbon Disclosure Project (Carbon Emission Disclosure Program), as one of the companies lead internationally in treatment of climate change, thanks to transparency in the disclosure of its environmental data and its actions towards a carbon-neutral economy.
The rating “A-” ranks the TITAN Group in the top 15% of all companies with published data worldwide and in the five (out of a total of 27) cement companies that have achieved a corresponding score for 2021. The companies recognized by the CDP as leaders are a model for the completeness of their published environmental data, risk identification and management, strong governance and the implementation of best practices.
In 2021, the TITAN Group raised the bar even higher, as it became one of the first cement companies in the world whose CO2 emission reduction targets were validated by the Science Based Targets (SBTi) initiative, as compatible with the reduction levels required for achieving the objectives of the Paris Agreement.
In addition, Titan signed the Business Ambition for 1.5 ° C Commitment, led by the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) in partnership with the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) and the We Mean Business Alliance, to hold global warming to 1.5 ° C and zero (clean) carbon emissions by 2050 UNFCC), which aims to encourage more and more companies, governments and financial and educational institutions to work together and take action for a healthier planet with zero carbon emissions.
