Police shot dead a suicide bomber outside a police station in the southern Turkish city of Gaziantep on Friday, Anadolu Agency reported.
The man shouted “I have a bomb” and “I will blow up”, showing his vest and a remote control he was holding, according to the same source.
After threatening the police, they neutralized him, injuring him, as the governor of the province, Davut Gul, stated in a post on Twitter. The suspect had a serious criminal record, he added.
In 2016, three police officers were killed in a car bomb blast in the city of Gaziantep, in an attack launched by the jihadist organization Islamic State.
