The new episode between fighters from Russia and France over the Black Sea caused concern.
According to ERT’s correspondent in Russia, Achilles Patsuka, Russian Su-27 fighter jets flew into the Black Sea a short distance from French Rafale and Mirage fighter jets, which tried to approach the Russian border.
Russian Su-27 fighters from the Southern Military District approached a pair of French aircraft just a few dozen meters away, with Russian pilots filming the French planes, following a parallel course with them.
The video shows the French pilots in the cockpits of their aircraft, as well as the state flags of France painted on the sides of the fighters.
The French “Rafale” and “Mirage” were armed with AIM-9 and “Meteor” guided air-to-air missiles. The aircraft were also equipped with outboard fuel tanks, which increase the flight range.
