Parliamentary elections in France: The final results


The official results of yesterday’s parliamentary elections were posted on the website of the Ministry of Interior

The center-liberal Ensemble (“Together”) of the President of France Emanuel Macron secured 245 of the 577 seats in the French National Assemblylosing the absolute majority of seats in the body, according to the final official results of yesterday’s parliamentary elections, as posted on his website Ministry of Interior.

The NUPES alliance under the leadership of the radical left Jean-Luc Melanson secured 131 seats and is now the official opposition, its far-right National Alarm Marin Lepen will occupy 89 seatsalmost fifteen times more than in the outgoing lower house, while the traditional right – the Republicans – they won 61.

The abstention reached 53.77%.
