Unable to play Star Wars: KOTOR II on Nintendo Switch due to a bug

the game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic IIKOTORII) is not playable on the Nintendo Switch. Developer Aspyr is aware of the issue and is working on a fix.

Star Wars: Kotor II originally appeared in 2004 on the original Xbox. The Switch version of the game was released on June 8 by Aspyr, a studio that frequently ports classic games to new consoles.

People who bought the game are now finding out that it cannot be completed. Halfway through the game, players will see a cutscene, after which the game will stop. There is no way around the crash.

Aspyr writes on Twitter that the issue is known. The developer promises to fix it in the next update, although it’s unclear when that will happen.

“We know there is no way to complete the game at this time and our team is working on a solution that will come as soon as possible,” the studio told a duped player. “Our apologies for the inconvenience and we appreciate your patience.
