Trade restrictions imposed by the United States on 30 Chinese research institutes and entities for human rights violations and in particular technology development, such as brain control weapons.
The United States has blamed China’s Academy of Military Medical Sciences and 11 of its research institutes for using biotechnology “to support Chinese military end-users and end-users, including portable brain-control weapons,” according to CNBC.
The above is reported to the Federal Register, without giving further details about these weapons.
The country’s Minister of Commerce, Gina Raimondo, noted: “The scientific pursuit of biotechnology and medical innovation can save lives. “Unfortunately, the People’s Republic of China chooses to use these technologies to seek control of its people and those it perceives as members of ethnic and religious minority groups.”
