The unfortunate woman was walking her two dogs around 9 in the morning (local time) in the community of Pico Rivera, in the southeastern part of the county of Los Angeles, when θηκαν they were struck by lightning, as a result of which they lost their lives.

“The probability of this happening is one in a million, but it did happen,” police spokesman Patrick Morey told the Los Angeles Times.

Local authorities have closed beaches in southern California due to dangerous weather conditions and advised residents to be careful when moving.
