Britain: Record of new coronavirus cases with 93,045 infections


New record for daily coronavirus cases announced the Britain on Friday, for third consecutive day, recording 93,045 infections, against 88,376 cases on Thursday.

Confronted, according to the prime minister Boris Johnson, with one “tsunami” cases because of it Omicron variant, Britain counts a total of 147,048 dead from Covid-19, of which 111 were recorded on Friday.

Although in England, the British Government limited itself to re – introducing use of the mask in most public places (excluding pubs and restaurants), to encourage teleworking as much as possible and impose one sanitary pass for mass gatherings, despite the unease of a section of Conservative MPs, the local governments of Scotland and Wales have decided to take tougher measures.

In Scotland, where the Omicron variant dominates, according to the Prime Minister Nicola Sterzon, citizens were invited to stay in their homes in anticipation of Christmas.

“The tsunami I warned about a week ago is now starting to hit us,” she said.

Businesses are required by law to take “reasonable steps” to limit the spread of the virus. The pubs were urged to return to customer service at the tables rather than at the bar.

In Wales, the Prime Minister Mark Drakeford gave the order for closing of the bars from December 27.
