A bus carrying guests to a wedding party in eastern Pakistan’s Punjab province has killed eight people and injured nine others, according to police and local media.
Out of control
The heavy vehicle, out of control, fell on the crowd that had gathered in front of a house, on the side of the road, in the area of Tahli Anta in the district of Madi Bahawuddin.
Residents and rescuers transported the victims to a nearby hospital.
The death toll could rise as most of the injured are in critical condition.
The first data of the investigation revealed that there was a thick fog in the area and the driver of the bus lost control of the vehicle.
The bus was confiscated and a case was filed against the driver, who escaped immediately afterwards.
