THE Minister for Brexit David Frost reportedly resigned from his cabinet Boris Johnson, triggering another crisis in Downing Street.
Lord Frost – one of the most popular cabinet members among the Conservatives – helped negotiate the Brexit deal and took a tough approach to Northern Ireland Protocol with the EU.
According to Mail on Sunday, the minister submitted his resignation a week ago, but was persuaded to remain in office until January.
The paper quoted sources as saying that his departure was prompted by the implementation of the plan’s measures in connection with the Omicron mutation earlier this week, which sparked the nearly 100 Tories uprising, Mr Johnson’s biggest uprising.
