A wild pursuit of a vehicle in which two criminals were riding, carrying a package of heroin, took place in the early hours of the morning on the Athens-Corinth highway, while one of them was slightly injured by police fire.
In particular, according to information from the Athenian-Macedonian News Agency from police sources, the Attica Drug Prosecution had the information that the specific individuals were trafficking heroin, based in Menidi. Police officers of the Service and OPKE monitored the vehicle of the perpetrators in the early hours of the morning. The latter, as soon as they noticed the police, at the height of Elefsina, developed a dizzying speed and at some point they left the highway and entered Nea Peramos. Then they re-entered the highway, heading to Athens and broke the toll bars in Elefsina. Police officers in their attempt to immobilize them shot resulting in one being slightly injured, while the vehicle fell on a protective ledge and came to a standstill, while both criminals were arrested.
It is noted that during the pursuit, they threw in the street a package containing, according to ELAS, heroin weighing 1 kg and 710 grams.
The two criminals, who are to be taken to the prosecutor, are marked for various offenses.
